ELOY, AZ - Interstate 10 between Tucson and Phoenix has reopened after a deadly crash killed several people and injured several more.

Officials say victims were killed in the wreck involving multiple vehicles on I-10 near Picacho Peak Thursday morning. Three other people were injured and have been hospitalized.

Arizona Department of Public Safety Officer Quentin Mehr said a commercial vehicle was traveling eastbound on Interstate 10 around 7 a.m. when, for an unknown reason, the driver lost control.

The vehicle reportedly ran through the median area and returned back to the road on westbound Interstate 10 where it struck an SUV and another passenger vehicle. [source]
