Lane closures on I-10 east of Tucson scheduled for next week

The Arizona Department of Transportation will close the left lanes of Interstate 10 east of Tucson near Cienega Creek (between mileposts 288 and 290) on Tuesday (May 8) and Wednesday (May 9) to clear overgrown vegetation in the median.

From 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday (May 8), the left lane of eastbound I-10 will be closed.
From 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday (May 9), the left lane of westbound I-10 will be closed.

Drivers can expect delays of up to five minutes.

The schedule is subject to change due to a variety of reasons, including weather, availability of materials, and mechanical difficulties. ADOT advises drivers to proceed through or near work zones with caution, slow down, and be alert for construction equipment and personnel.
