Arizona Department of Transportation issues driver warning for dust storm in southeast Arizona

A dust storm kicked up Monday evening south of the Valley prompted officials to issue a warning for drivers in southeast Arizona.

Department of Public Safety officials said two collisions were reported in the area of mile point 225 on Interstate 10 near Red Rock as the storm rolled through.

One accident involved two vehicles and injured seven people. None of the injuries are life threatening. The second accident involving two vehicles left two people injured.

Neither of the accidents caused blockages.

Drivers traveling on I-10 between Casa Grande and Tucson, between the New Mexico state border and Tucson, and Interstate 8 near Casa Grande were warned to be extremely cautious.
