08/03: Weekend Closures

The following Phoenix area roads will be closed or have lane restrictions this weekend. Freeway work often occurs overnight. The Arizona Department of Transportation recommends drivers consider alternate routes or give themselves extra travel time while the following restrictions are in place:

Interstate 10 closed/Seventh Street and Seventh Avenue
Closure: Westbound Interstate 10 closed overnight between Seventh Street and Seventh Avenue from 9 p.m. Saturday to 7 a.m. Sunday for tunnel maintenance. Ramps from southbound Arizona 51 and westbound Loop 202 to westbound I-10 closed.

Detour: Eastbound I-10 traffic can use northbound I-17 to avoid tunnel closure. Westbound I-10 traffic exiting at Seventh Street will detour beyond closure on McDowell Road
