I-10 near Casa Grande reopens after hazardous spill

12/20/12 - Arizona Department of Transportation crews depressurized the cylinder before it was towed away after they shut down two westbound lanes and one eastbound lane starting about 7 a.m.

The spill happened about one mile north of State Route 287 on I-10 heading toward Phoenix, according to an ADOT spokesman.

Dustin Krugel of ADOT said a 10-mile-long widening project on that stretch of I-10 was completed in the fall and increased the number of lanes from two to three and helped prevent a bigger traffic impact Thursday.
