Investigation of I-10 coffee creamer spill continues

02/14/2013 - Authorities are still investigating the overturning of a semitruck that shut down westbound lanes on Interstate 10 in Phoenix for nearly 12 hours Wednesday.

The truck, which was carrying coffee creamer, overturned about 1 a.m. just before the “ministack,” where the I-10 converges with the Loop 202 and Arizona 51 freeways, the Arizona Department of Public Safety said

The truck dumped its cargo and supply of diesel gas. The creamer stretched along the freeway for more than 50 yards, DPS said.

DPS spokesman Bart Graves said Wednesday that the truck driver likely faces a civil violation, but the investigation remains ongoing.

The driver’s company will probably have to pay the undetermined cost of cleanup, Graves said.
