Improvement projects will require lane restrictions along sections of Phoenix-area freeways this weekend (Oct. 10-13), according to the Arizona Department of Transportation. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra travel time or consider alternate routes while these scheduled restrictions are in place:
Eastbound Interstate 10 narrowed to one lane between Queen Creek and Riggs roads in Chandler area at the following times: 9 p.m. Friday to 8:30 a.m. Saturday (Oct. 11), 8 p.m. Saturday to 10 a.m. Sunday (Oct. 12), 9 p.m. Sunday to 5 a.m. Monday (Oct. 13) and 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 14) for resurfacing and other highway improvements. DETOUR: Please consider adjusting schedule to avoid restrictions or allow extra travel time.
Eastbound Interstate 10 narrowed to one lane in areas between State Route 85 and Verrado Way in Buckeye at the following times: 9 p.m. Friday to 6 p.m. Saturday (Oct. 11), midnight to 9 p.m. Sunday (Oct. 12) and 8 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday (Oct. 14) for resurfacing. DETOUR: Please allow extra travel time or consider using alternate routes, including exiting to southbound Palo Verde Road (Exit 109) and traveling east on Southern Avenue, north on Watson Road, east on Broadway Road and north on Verrado Way to reconnect with I-10.
