ANOTHER Deadly three-car crash closes eastbound I-10 west of the Valley

05/20/16: A deadly three-car crash closed eastbound lanes of the I-10 west of the Valley early Friday morning.
DPS says the crash occurred near Miller Road (milepost 114), two miles east of SR-85, west of the Valley.

DPS says the driver of a pickup truck swerved for unknown reasons, over-corrected and crossed into the median into oncoming traffic. The semi-truck traveling eastbound hit another vehicle trying to avoid the truck, and then rolled over.

NOTE:  THERE IS NO MEDIAN BARRIER AT THIS LOCATION.

THERE WAS NOTHING TO STOP THE CROSSOVER VEHICLE FROM REACHING THE OPPOSING LANES.

The driver of the pickup truck was killed and the other two drivers were injured, but details are still limited on their conditions.

This is just another in an ongoing series of crossover deaths on Arizona’s highways.  To date, the State has done NOTHING to stop them.
